Quality Quidditch Supplies is a store in Diagon Alley. It stocks many Quidditch related items such as, Quaffles, Bludgers, and broomsticks.

Peeling gold letters over the door of the shop read: Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C.. The shop's display consists of a solitary wand laying on a faded purple cushion in the dusty window. The shop is tiny, empty except for a single, spindly chair in the corner. Thousands of narrow boxes containing wands are piled right up to the ceiling of the tiny shop.

The Magical Menagerie is a shop in Diagon Alley. It is very cramped and noisy. Every inch of wall is covered by cages. It sells all kinds of animals - poisonous orange snails, a giant jewel-encrusted tortoise, sleek black rats that are very intelligent, owls, ravens, cats of every colour, Puffskeins, a Transforming Rabbit and much more.

Gringotts Wizarding Bank is the only known bank of the wizarding world, and is owned and operated by Goblins. It was created by the goblin Gringott. Its British branch is located in Diagon Alley in London, England. In addition to storing money and valuables for wizards and witches, one can go there to exchange Muggle money for wizarding money.

Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions is a shop in Diagon Alley. Students get their Hogwarts school uniforms there, and wizards and witches can also purchase dress robes, travelling cloaks, and the like.

The Leaky Cauldron is nested between a Muggle bookshop and a record store. Inside the pub, it is dark and shabby, with a bar and a number of tables in the shadows of the corners. In stark contrast to the grubby downstairs of the pub, there are some unexpectedly pleasant rooms upstairs where the passing wizard can stay for the night. These rooms are reached by way of a handsome wooden staircase, and contain comfortable beds, highly polished oak furniture, and a crackling fire is always in the grate to welcome the visitor to their lodgings.

Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour is a shop that sells ice-cream. Located on Diagon Alley, the Parlour was owned and operated by Florean Fortescue before he "disappeared" in 1996. The Parlour is a small shop with places to sit down inside, and a small area outside with a bunch of tables and chairs. Inside, there can be found lots of colourful ice-cream on display.

Flourish and Blotts Bookseller is the bookstore in Diagon Alley where most Hogwarts students purchase their schoolbooks. The store has had a few problems with certain books, such as The Invisible Book of Invisibility which cost them a great deal of money though they never found them, and The Monster Book of Monsters which tore each other up as well as biting the manager when he tried to get one out.
