Ziro sat in his cell, the small window at the top barely letting in any light. He craned his neck to see out of the bars of his cell more clearly, Dementors passed by about every three minutes. In regards to his final plan, Ziro waited for the Dementors shift change, every day around sun down, they would switch, those below would come up and those above would go down.
Ziro had been plotting and recording this data in his head for the past three weeks, testing it throughly. The only way out of the prison was to sneak down below, and being without a wand, Ziro had to find another way. He'd considered the window, but after analyzing it, not only was it too small but it would lead him to death by free falling. He'd heard a bell ring above his head and the ghostly figures began to move down the halls to the bottom floor.
Ziro made his move. In a swift motion he pickpocketed the warden who on the way out was making his last minute inspections. Ziro's heart lept as the keys jingled quietly in his hands. Once the exit door closed he picked through the lock and made his way out the door. He ran to the closest broom closet he could find and shut the door on himself. He heard the exit door screech open and he felt the cold rush over him as a horde of Dementors entered. He opened the door and quickly shifted from human to his animagi form of a German Shepard.
The Dementors didn't notice him, he was in the clear. Running as fast as his four legs could take him he went down stairwell after stairwell until he had reached the main entrance, where two aurors awaited as guards. He sprinted even faster and pounced on the guard on the right, biting into his neck and shifting back into a human. Quickly he grabbed the man's wand and he turned to the other and yelled, "Avada Kedvra!", the man dropping dead on contact. "Bombarda Maxima!", he yelled, the huge iron doors exploding open he ran out onto the shores and turned on the spot, catching one last glimpse of Azkaban as the darkness engulfed him. He was in Knockturn Alley.
