Professor Holmes walked into the class late. On purpose, too. All of her students were in their desks, waiting quite irritably patiently. She opened the large doors in a stride, pushing desks aside with her wand as she went. As she went her way through the path she made, she stopped. Right next to Roxy Weasel's desk. Without even looking at her, she pointed her wand at the desk and the scribbles, purple, and sparkles disappeared. She set off again in a large stride, up to her own desk. All of her supply's were already laid out.
"Welcome, class, to Defense against the dark arts. For most of the students in the class that don't know, My name is Professor Holmes." Holmes said, the chalk already writing her name on the board in scribbley, cursive writing. "Tpday, we will be learning about something I'm almost sure you've heard of," She said. The chalk immediately started writing down the lesson plan. The Unforgivable Curses it wrote. "Now, we will be learning the Unforgivable Curses, for those of you who can not read. You will not need your books today. Weasel, will you please tell me one of these curses?" She said, snapping her head toward Roxy. She loved torturing her students with this day.
. A smirk appeared on her face. Hrm, I wonder who's next? Hahaha! Holmes thought. One of her favorite things was to force her students to watch her torture things. It tortures them, she loves it.

Stacia walked into class, late. Well not so late that people would say it was dramatically late, but late enough. As she walked through the doors, she instantly scanned the room for Antony, but found he was not there. She wasn't even sure that he was in the class. She walked over to a seat and sat, hoping there would be at least some Slytherins in the class.
Then the door burst open and in walked the teacher. It was rumored around the common room that this teacher was a Death Eater, and so far it seemed to be true. She pushed the desks aside one by one and stopped at Weasel's desk. Stacia laughed when she cleared Weasel's desk of purple and sparkles.
"Welcome, class, to Defense against the dark arts. For most of the students in the class that don't know, My name is Professor Holmes. Today, we will be learning about something I'm almost sure you've heard of. Now, we will be learning the Unforgivable Curses, for those of you who can not read. You will not need your books today. Weasel, will you please tell me one of these curses?"
Stacia laughed and raised her hand. "I can tell you one of them, Professor Holmes." she said, smirking to herself.

[[This is for the Teach]]
Holmes snapped her head at Monroe when she laughed and raised her hand. Even though she had her hand raised, she said, "I can tell you one of them, Professor Holmes." Holmes smirked to herself too. "Fine then," She snapped. "What is this curse? Come up here, Monroe. She was still smirking as Monroe came up. "And go back to your seat, Weasel." she added. She never really paid much mind to her students, as she loathed them deeply. Such ignorance, slobber, and whimpering. "I would like to hear that curse quickly now, Monroe!" Holmes barked at Monroe. Her smirk was probably permanently wiped from her face. She didn't have all day to teach this class.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [[This is for Antony]]
Oh crap... Antony thought, rushing up to his class. Late. Again. I have to stop doing this. He just reached the door about 5 minutes after class had started. This was just wonderful, because Stacia and all the other students were here already. He hadn't even signed up for the bloody class yet. He quietly sinked into the open desk next Stacia's. He waved a short wave at her, up at the front. He read the board. Oh, that's wonderful...I guess I'll just volunteer next, I suppose... He thought.

Roxy knew she was late, and she honestly could care less. Last year, Defense Against the Dark Arts was one of her best classes. This year however, she was positive that it wasn't going to be based on one reason...the teacher. She seemed like a total snob and Roxy despised snobs [with the exception of herself, of course.] Looking ahead, there was a boy who seemed very determined to get to the class. She couldn't help but laugh at him, who honestly wanted to go to class?
He slipped into the classroom and Roxy slipped in after him, still giggling as she took a seat. Letting out a loud, dramatic sigh she made sure she gained at least a few peoples attention before she started to giggle again. Roxy didn't apologize or even begin to look at the teacher; she had better things to do. After waving to a few of her friends and around the room, she gave the attention back to the teacher as she started to write a note, not paying attention what so ever.

Stacia stood as the professor said, "Fine then. What is this curse? Come up here, Monroe." and told Roxy to go sit down. Even though Professor Holmes was no longer smirking, Stacia was. As Stacia got to the front of the class she noticed Antony walked in subtly. She flashed a quick smile in his direction and turned back to Professor Holmes as she said, "I would like to hear that curse quickly now, Monroe!"
Stacia smirked again. This professor was definitely Death Eater material. "Well, I suppose I'll give you my personal favorite, the Cruciatis Curse. It is used to torture victims until they tell you the information you need or until they are begging for death depending on the situation." she said, raising her eyebrows at Professor Holmes and waiting to be dismissed to go sit down with Antony.

"Yes, very good, Monroe. Larkin, by the way, I noticed you." Holmes said, not even glancing at Antony. "Well, Monroe, you got a curse down. And no, you may not sit down yet." Holmes took her wand and a rat that was sitting on a table in the dark classroom. "Crucio." She said, pointing her Pink Ivory wand at the poor rodent. It began to squeak and tremble, as if something were burning it from the inside. "The next curse, Monroe?" Holmes snapped quickly.

The next words out of the Slytherin's mouth caused Roxy to look up, her attention no longer on her note and now on Stacia. "Well, I suppose I'll give you my personal favorite, the Cruciatis Curse. It is used to torture victims until they tell you the information you need or until they are begging for death depending on the situation." The Slytherin said, leaving Roxy's mouth open in shock. Personal favorite? As in, the girl had actually used that spell before?
Roxy glared at the Slytherin, but before she could actually say something the teacher had replied instead. There was a small rat in the teacher's hand, frozen with fear. Roxy felt sympathy for the creature. She didn't particularly like animals, but she didn't like testing on them either. With a flick of her wand, the teacher muttered the unforgivable curse and the poor animal was in immense pain. Roxy stood up, enraged that the teacher had actually went as far to use the spell.
"STOP!? What the hell do you think you are doing?! That spell is illegal! You are hurting it. I said STOP!" By know Roxy was screaming at the teacher, not caring who was staring at her.

"Miss. Weasley! If you wish to disturb the class, leave! If you don't want to watch this, avert your eyes, or leave! Now! I suggest we get on to a different lesson for the day, hmm? Roxy, do you have any experience with the incarcerus hex?" Holmes snapped. She finally decided to ease up on her student, and it seemed to shock them. It even shock herself. She put the rat in her hands down and stopped and healed the curse. After which, it scurried off the table and went obediently into it's cage down on the floor. "Well, we don't have all day, do we? Tell me what you know about the incarcerus curse. We only have 25 minutes left." She said, quite calmly. The students still seemed to be shocked, but that was her intuition. She was a death eater, yet she had a soft side.

Stacia's almost giggled when Professor Holmes caught Antony, but she refrained. "Well, Monroe, you got a curse down. And no, you may not sit down yet. The next curse, Monroe?" Damn. Stacia wanted to go sit with Antony. Before she could answer, Professor Holmes crucioed the small rat and Stacia smirked. It was only a ratm that's what they were used for.
"STOP!? What the hell do you think you are doing?! That spell is illegal! You are hurting it. I said STOP!" she heard and turned, staring at Roxy. Stacia almost burst out laughing, but she was caught off guard when the professor said, "Mrs. Weasley! If you wish to disturb the class, leave! If you don't want to watch this, avert your eyes, or leave! Now! I suggest we get on to a different lesson for the day, hmm? Roxy, do you have any experience with the incarcerus hex?"
Stacia's eyes widened when she noticed what the teacher was doing. She was giving in to Roxy. Incarcerous wasn't nearly as good as the unforgivable curses, but maybe she'd have to just deal with it. Stacia wasn't sure if she was supposed to sit down or not, so she just stayed leaning on Professor Holmes' desk.

~Kaitlynn R.
Kaitlynn was freaking out. She didn't have much time left for ANYTHING, not even make-up. Not that she put on much in the first place. She would have to make do with nothing, except the obvious Hogwarts Robes and hair-clips. It took her a grand total of 15 minutes to get ready, and by that time, the class had probably already started. And the Hufflepuff Common room was SO far away from the class itself. What was she going to do, make up an excuse? That was probably the best thing to do, sweet talk a teacher. Though she wasn't sure about the DADA teacher so much...
There wasn't time to worry, at least, not anymore. She had already taken enough time trying to get herself ready, and she couldn't afford to waste anymore time, or she probably might as well be ditching. And no, Kaitlynn was not ready to do just that. Running, dashing, to the classroom, she made it in time to hear:
"Well, we don't have all day, do we? Tell me what you know about the incarcerus curse. We only have 25 minutes left." She had missed that much time? She was practically clueless on what the teacher was teaching, aside from what the board said, The Unforgivable Curses [/u]. Instant flashback, somewhere in a book (a Harry Potter read) said that someone had done the exact same thing when Harry was in school. Something about Death Eater in disguise? But they were long dead, much to Kait's relief. She didn't know who the question was for, but it was ALMOST certain that no one was going to answer anytime soon. "That's quite easy, Professor Holmes. Incarcerous is a charm that conjures ropes, which then bind the victim. It word, incarcerous came from incarcerate, which means "to capture". Quite useful when you want to tie a person up, in rather sticky situations. I wouldn't recommend using it right now though, getting students tied up isn't particularly good for your record, is it professor?" Man, was Kaitlynn glad she read about about that spell in particular. "Oh, and sorry for being late. Overslept, you see?" ~JJ B. Was it just him, or was he forgetting something very important? There was always that feeling he was forgetting something. JJ supposed he should just forget about it, but the nagging feeling was just killing him. He (grudgingly) walked out of the Ravenclaw Tower, wondering what he was forgetting now. It didn't occur to him until he was a few feet from the outside of the DADA classroom, (that was having a lesson right this moment) that he had signed up for that class. He ran the minimal amount to get to the room, though the class was already more than halfway done, and he didn't have him robes on (jeans and a T-shirt would hardly count, he thought it was home clothes day). He tried (he knew he was unsuccessful, there was no way that the Professor's sharp looking eyes would miss him coming in a rush into the classroom) to get into the classroom unnoticed. JJ settled in the seat closest to him, and hoped for the best (though he knew he was no where near it). For a Ravenclaw, he was shockingly slacking in schoolwork. JJ didn't even look at the board for any clues to what the Professor might be teaching. He didn't have to look, the class was already basically over, he just thought he might as well slack off and just, well, not pay attention. He had met Holmes when he had signed up, she looked plenty ugly and scary (no wonder she couldn't get any guys), but he hoped that she would let him at least slack off a bit before he had the chance to try and drop out of this class.[/blockquote]

Roxy looked toward the door, if the Professor wanted her to leave then she wasn't about to stick around there any longer. Then, almost abruptly, the teacher changed the subject and asked her about her experience with the Incarcerous spell. Putting her hands on her hip, Roxy looked at the teacher in confusion. Why the hell would she need to use a spell that ties people up..and why would anyone need to use it on her?
Before she could reply with some witty and sarcastic remark, someone had responded for her. That worked. She loved when people did stuff for her, less work for her right? Roxy sent a smile in Kaitlynn's direction as she took her seat. "Yeah, what she said.." Roxy remarked, looking the teacher up in down in disgust.

[[Excuse me? UGH such horribly nice students I have]]
"That is correct, Richards, but I didn't ask you, now did I? And Brook, I saw you. Detention. 1 week. My office. Today, Brook. And Weasel, you will be serving detention with him and Richards along with the, 2 months I think it was?, for sneaking outside. After today it will be 6:00 in the morning in my office. Every day. Now, class, if you would, take out your books and study up on the unforgivable curses and Incarcerous. You must have an essay on all 4 by the day after tomorrow. All may leave except for Weasel, Brook, and Richards. Good day." Holmes snapped to her class. She even slammed her lesson book for extra "effect." She despised her class deeply. And on top of that, she had the little pathetic excuse for a rebel in her class. "I suggest you get to your next class quickly. you have 10 minutes-err depending on where it is. Quickly, now!" Holmes hissed at the groaning class. They deserve it, after what weasley did. and most of them were late. she thought. She really did have a deep, deep loathe for her students.
Except Antony and Stacia, of course. They shared one thing in common and one thing alone. They worked for the rising of the Dark Lord. She had already had a talk with Monroe [[OOC: Reffering to the un-finished thread, "Bad hair Day"]] And she intened to have one with both of them at the Malfoy Manor. She had no idea is Scorpius had what it takes to be a Death Eater, that had yet to be seen. But it seems he would be forced to be a death eater, seeing as his father is Draco Malfoy.
After the last of the students filed out, she turned to her detention-ees. "Now, I suspect you want to know what you need to do. Well, since I can't have weasel running off, you will be writing me an essay on why one should not speak out in class. 5 pages, at least 10,000 word minimum. I will write you out of the rest of your classes. As for you, Richards, Brook. You, will be in the Quidditch pitch, shining the balls, sweeping the field, you know, maintenance. When you are done, report to me and you may go to your common rooms. Then you must come to my office at 6:00 AM sharp. Shoo, now." Holmes snapped at the children.

Kaitlynn's jaw locked. There was no way she was going to live with detention without COMPLETELY over-doing it. But, on the other hand, she knew this wouldn't come out good either way.
"You must be kidding me, Professor. Detention for being late. I think a more hideous crime is, well, physically ugly. Like you. Densaugeo!" Kaitlynn just realized how bad this might turn out if it really hit the professor. "Protego! Sorry Professor." Before Kaitlynn could get in more trouble, she ran out of the room, to the Quidditch Pitch, dragging JJ along.
